Oh my word. Wow! This book was amazing! It felt so real, and I could see the scenes playing out in my head, like a Netflix series.

There were so many secrets buried in people's pasts and I was never quite sure we to trust.  I really liked Lucy and Moss, I don't know any police dog handlers in teak life,  but they are exactly how I would imagine someone in that job role to be.  I liked Jack too and was desperate to find out what he was hiding from his past.

This crime story was very much based on police procedure, and although it uses a fair amount of police jargon, I didn't have any trouble understanding what was happening, as can occasionally happen when too much technical language is used.

I'm so glad to have discovered this new crime series and am now eagerly awaiting book 2.
