I thought this book could have been just a couple chapters. There were some good examples of how being too picky can lead you to reject everyone, but after a while I was like “ok I get the point, let’s move on”.

I enjoyed the last couple of chapters which talked about narrowing down what is important to you to the top 2-3 things and having those be your non-negotiables. The beginning of the book did seem a little scare tactic-y where it felt like it was saying “if you’re too picky you will end up alone like me”. And then I think there were also a lot of generalizations about women and men in regards to feminism and how feminism made women too picky and how things were simpler when getting married was more of a business deal. Like I understand where she was coming from but also kinda had some qualms with it.

I liked the part where she talked about arranged marriages. For sure I feel like that was applicable and helpful for someone to know what they want and then commit when they find someone who aligns with that.
