The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë
4.0

Recently I was thinking about how I'd never read a book by Anne Bronte and feeling guilty about it, like she would feel bad because her sisters are more famous than her. So I decided to check one out. I chose this one since it was so scandalous when it was released. Dang, I'm glad times have changed. There was nothing scandalous in the book to my modern sensibilities. The one complaint I had about it was the relationship between Helen and Gilbert. They go from disliking each other to love in just a few pages with almost nothing in the book that details why. So I couldn't really root for their relationship. Still, I enjoyed it overall, and I may eventually read her other book, too.
