The Canterville Ghost
by Oscar Wilde
An entertaining story!
While there are many references to murder, blood stains, starvation, and the like, the tone is generally humrous and omits gruesome details. Though some of the political references may go over the heads of younger readers (I suspect there were some that went over my head, to be completely honest), I could see some pre-teens enjoying this story.
