Broken Miles by Claire Kingsley

5.0

It is time... In preparation for the final book in the Bailey Brothers series next month, I'm starting my reread of all the books in the Miles Family and Bailey Brothers series. I originally read the Miles Family series back in April 2020 and it is still one of my favorite series.

Hopping into Broken Miles, I forgot how much I adore Zoe and Roland. Four years ago, Zoe had to walk away from the love of her life when their marriage was no longer working. Roland avoids going home to his family's winery and as much as he says it's not about Zoe, it definitely is. Leo calls Roland and tells him to get his butt from San Francisco to Echo Creek, Washington because the winery is in trouble. The more time he spends there, Roland realizes that he still loves Zoe and he never should have let her go.

This is such a good second chance romance. It's still such a unique storyline to me rereading it this time. Claire Kingsley builds such incredible worlds that you want to immerse yourself in. And you feel for her characters, even when you want to punch them in the face like I wanted to do with Roland several times in this book!. The perfect balance of heartwarming, funny, emotional and spicy! Can't wait to reread the rest of this series!
