The book is very informative, I have learnt a lot of things regarding plants, forests, the chestnut blight, history of lot of trees, struggles of environmentalists, etc., The book is very layered and complex. Author does an amazing job of weaving different characters and their plots together, while taking you through an amazing journey alongside various trees. The parallels drawn between trees and corresponding characters is so well imagined. It is definitely one of the most diverse, informative and creative books I have read. Multiple times in the book, one may have to re read some sections to get the right meaning and sometimes because they are so well written.
