Some of the storyline went off on tangents, and had some confusing parts, the world building around the Rift, and the connecting plot of serial murders was good, but the romance subplots weren’t the most convincing. It was almost coincidental, and a bit artificial. But overall this was not bad at all, it wasn’t the best story ever, but will see after the next book if it gets better.
