I had high hopes going into this considering the premise and the promise of little treasures tucked into the pages while you read to enhance the story. However, this felt like a book I'd have to read for a class, and not in a good way. Especially given the price point I would only recommend this if it's available (with the inserts) at your library and you have time and the mental energy to read two stories simultaneously.
