Floating Worlds: The Letters of Edward Gorey & Peter F. Neumeyer by Edward Gorey

4.0

This book took me quite a while to read, but I suppose it is 13 months condensed into a couple of hundred pages. I wasn’t overly keen on the formatting, but it feels ever so special to get to read these letters 55 years after they were written, and to get a little bit of insight into Gorey’s rather odd mind. I found it quite sad to follow the flickering out of the communication, but I loved these letters, and have come out of this book with a terribly long list of book recommendations from both Gorey and Neumeyer for which I am very thankful. Harry Stanton I don’t like you!
