You're It: A Forbidden, Dad's Best Friend, Laser Tag Romance by Cleo White

5.0

Cleo has such a great writing style! I absolutely loved the representation of mental health in this book, and she did an outstanding job making the characters lovable and relatable. Between Darwin’s setbacks and Savvy’s internal dialogue, I found myself aching when they struggled, and doing a happy dance when they were thriving!

At first, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the whole “this is my dad’s best friend” vibe, but the love between the characters just kept me wanting more. The spice was top notch, without being so much that it took away from the plot. The banter between the characters had me laughing, and I instantly fell in love with Darwin. I devoured this book and can’t remember the last time I read 75% of the book in one sitting! This was my first ARC read and I am already hoping I can get onto Cleo’s permanent ARC team. She does a great job of telling a really fun story!

If you’re into age gaps, relatable MCs, spice, and want an overall fun book to read, this is the book for you!
