While I enjoy the overall story, the main twists were easy to figure out by halfway through, and something about the writing felt off. Maybe it was the editor, but at times I felt the over-description (and sometimes repeated description) took me out of the tension of this thriller and also as if like the author wasn’t trusting the reader to remember details or even whole characters.
