Midnight on Beacon Street
by Emily Ruth Verona
spooky season begins in earnest!
this was fun! it started out pretty strong, and the building sense of foreboding worked really really well.i do wish there were more of an ensemble cast to give it that classic slasher feel -- oddly enough i missed miles and wished he'd had more impact on the plot -- but i did like the subversion of amy being both the killer and the final girl. also, fun coincidence that i accidentally read this on the same day that it's set -- october 15th!
