Not rating bc I'd give a 5 to balance out all the sucky people's reviews...but...
It hasn't really aged as well as you'd hope. The stereotypes of "what's a girl" and "what's a boy" are so strong and a little icky. One would hope if it was written today, it would warrant all 5 stars.
I'm glad this book exists, though, and especially glad it existed 10 years ago.
