OMG. I listened to The Dixon Rule on Audible and the narration was SO. Good. The banter was everything I wanted it to be. Diana is such a strong confident female lead. She’s got a comeback for just about everything. And while she may appear to go with the flow and not to have a real plan for what comes next, the girl knows how to commit. Once she sets her mind on something, she’s locked in and won't stop until she succeeds. Shane on the other hand has had it pretty easy in life. His parents bought him the condo and his plan is to golf and chill all summer long.

So what happens when your best friend’s husband's best friend moves in next door? Chaos.

The complex has bi monthly HOA meetings and when I tell you that some absolute characters live in this place, I’m not kidding. These meetings are straight Stars Hollow town meeting vibes. While the other owners are much older, Diana and Shane still find these meetings very entertaining.

The Dixon Rule is for any hockey romance fan. Of course if you’ve read any of the Off-Campus and Briar U books, I’m certain you’ll enjoy this one. I thought The Graham Effect was spicy, and it is, but this one? This one? Shane and Diana are going to burn down the condo with the heat between them.

This book also touches on some heavier topics including parental relationships, the loss of a parent, and domestic abuse(not between the FMC and MMC). Life can be really hard sometimes,  but it’s better when you start fake dating your next door neighbor and have nightly dates to watch reality tv and bang.
