A beautiful and challenging account of a man, not suffering from addiction or any drama, but one who was looking for his own better life, out on the trail. It is always interesting to me to see my country through the eyes of a European. Stereotypes broken and the beauty of my backyard through the words of a man exploring the challenges was lovely. (I am a NorCal girl living in the Tahoe Reno area and minutes away from PCT trailheads).

He spent tons of pages in California but Oregon and Washington only had a few pages. Maybe he was tired by then.

The book is so well made with beautiful photos and illustrations by the author.

Read it in a couple of days.

I wish there had been dates and mileage with each daily log.
