In Tongues by Thomas Grattan

Reading this was such an odd experience -- there were so many passages that I loved that were followed by scenes or lines that were cliche, uncomfortable or unrealistic. A multi-paragraph scene about Gordon naming each of Janice's breasts felt really out of place and unrealistic... to be honest, I felt a lot of the characterization of the cast of female supporting characters was lacking.
