This is a posthumous book that probably, imo, shouldn’t have been published. Between his early dissertation work in Madagascar and the Dawn of Everything, which is extremely well-researched and all encompassing, this didn’t add anything new to the conversation or to his legacy. Publishing for publishing’s sake.
