Tier 1: Works of Art

SUMMARY: After rereading the entire series, this book is by far my favorite. Nesta is a broken and complex person. This book does a great job of exposing the inner workings of a person who before just looked like an asshole. We see Nesta's journey to accept herself, while also building a truly believable romance.

Feysand is bae and no one can beat Rhysand. But the romance is this novel does a MUCH better job of having the characters actually get to know each other, work through fights, relate to each other, and build from the ground up a believable love story. While Feysand was "when you are ready to love again, I'm here", this romance is "I'll help you learn to love yourself so you can accept love from me". Throw in hot sex and I'm hooked.

I also particularly love that the sex comes before the relationship. It feels more real that way since in most relationships you'd hook up before you fall in love. Sex complicates relationships and for some its the only way they can express care since words are too vulnerable. I love that this books explores that idea.
