More or less an exact retelling of the cutscenes from Halo: CE, with some extra little goodies of side stories added in. Even though, in the end, the side stories are rather moot because everyone except The Chief and Cortana all die anyway. Well, until First Strike at least, where we find out there were a few more people that survived, including SGT. Johnson.
