Radium Girls by Cy.

4.0

'Radium Girls' with story and art by Cy. is a graphic novel that tells a true and tragic story.

In 1918, a young woman gets a job painting numbers on watches with a new substance that glows in the dark. The best technique is to lick the brush first to keep the tip sharp and meet quota. What they don't know is that the miracle glowing substance is radium and it is killing them.

The story is good and needs to be told. In fact, it was in another book with the same name. The art flows in lines even as the story becomes inevitably grim.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Iron Circus Comics. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
