My Soul to Keep by Tananarive Due

2.0

I liked the concept of this book but Jessica, the lead female character, was irritating as hell. She should star in one of those horror movies where the girl makes every single stupid choice that's available to her. She's super-tight with her family but she ignores all of their misgivings about her husband, David? Even after David tells her his own story himself, and proves it's true in a horrific way, she still thinks this is okay? She's a journalist with otherwise good instincts but she buys all of David's lies without batting an eye? I'm not buying it, even if she is. Love is blind, but I don't think it's this blind for this long.
