3.5-4 stars...This book seems to be the build up to an interesting story line to come! A lot of background was needed to set the tone and introduce the reader to this world. A lot of elements in this first book remind me of Harry Potter mixed with Demons and LOTR. If you get past how similar some things are which didn’t bother me at all you should enjoy it! Comes off reading like a higher middle grade series with main characters around the age of 15-16. Some parts moved a little slow for me but overall I really like the integrity of the main character and the supporting characters as well. Can’t wait to see what the second book has in store :)
