I believe that this text will become greatly foundational for those studying the history of the Roman Empire.
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to those that have not read other books on the topic as it breezed over the various leaders and principal characters throughout the history of the Roman Empire. That being said, the various topics that Harper covers within his work gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the events that have unfolded throughout the supremacy of the Roman Empire.
This is a new favourite of mine for sure!
