I should preface this by saying that 'a simple favour' is one of my favourite movies. I think it's amazing. Although this book was just not good. The only reason I gave this 2 stars and not 1 was because I actually enjoyed the parts written from Emily's POV. The plot was honestly poor and felt extremely disjointed at times. It was written in dual timelines using flashbacks to tell the story. This was done okay but there were a few moments where it felt like it could have done with a new chapter or at least more explanation. The writing was okay but sometimes it was not great. Especially the use of exclamation marks in somewhat 'inappropriate' times. Finally, the ending was dreadful. I'll try and be spoiler-free but it was really badly done. There felt as though there was literally no ending and it was very ambiguous. Overall I just did not like this book which was such a shame.
