I almost want to give this 5 (not quite, but maybe when I revisit in portuguese 🤫).

Beautiful, beautiful language. Less of a story, more hypnosis of language and concept and imagery. Bordeline incomprehensible at times but maybe that's what I liked best about it? I could just languish in the way Lispector manipulates words and the authorial voice.

Props to the translator too, it can't be easy with Lispector. I really appreciated the pre-face and found it provided helpful commentary and context.

Like wow I love it when people can just write !
