I absolutely LOVE the #1 Ladies' Detective books, so I was surprised how disappointed I was in this series. For a sleuth, Isabel is not very consistent in her pursuit. Too many side stories took away from the direction of the plot. In fact, it didn't really feel like a mystery at all.
