Ace: What Asexuality Reveals about Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen

4.5

a very interesting nonfiction book! i think if you already know a lot about asexuality/sexuality in general, there can be some pretty surface-level information in the book. but I still think it was a very insightful book. i loved that it focused on sexuality for people that weren't just white.

i really appreciated the conversation on queer platonic partners. i always love a good talk on strong platonic relationships and how fulfilling they can be. i think even people who identify as asexual can really gain a lot from this book. asexuality doesn't look the same for everyone, and I appreciate the author taking the time to include different experiences in this book!

this book will always be a huge recommendation from me for any and everyone!
