so so glad i chose to read this. i had considered not picking it up, considering the state of the prior volume. the art for this was definitely up to scratch, though, and the dialogue felt like red rising again. this is what i had expected from these comics the whole time. very pleased with it. even more so than previous volumes, i liked seeing depictions of shit from the books. way more detailed and thoughtful. there was even some concept art and whatnot at the end. delightful
tbh i'd recomment skipping straight to this one. it had such nice pannels and some good groundwork for early red rising. the only disappointment was that the matteo design didnt fit his description. and i guess that dancer didnt appear. alas, we cant have it all. maybe someday they'll release vol 3.5: dancer edition. maybe someday..........
