syebba 's review for:
Nature Girl
by Carl Hiaasen
I have to put my rating into context: this is a Hiaasen book, which means it's absolutely awesome. But having said that, it is not my favorite Hiaasen (I'm grading on a Hiaasen curve).
What continues to amaze me about Hiaasen is that he can make these awesome, nutty characters and weave a great story around the message of environmental responsibility. What I would love to see is Honey Santana revived in a Skink novel, because that would be outstanding.
Also, understand that I'm a little off-kilter on this one because, while I remember the days of intrusive telemarketing, it is so far in the past and so easy to get around now, that it's hard to fathom such a thing setting off this sort of chain reaction, mental illness or not.
