Moon Called
by Patricia Briggs
I felt much the same way about this book as I did about Everything Leads to You by Nina Lacour: that so much of the action had little to do with the main character and happens behind the scenes.
In this book, Fae are known to humans, and other supernatural creatures are considering going public as well. And most of the book has to do with warewolves. Because Mercy, whose first person POV we follow, is a shapeshifter and not a Fae or werewolf, I felt like much of the plot wasn't high stakes enough because it had so little to do with her.
But I give this book points for having a really awesome badass protagonist and a diverse cast of multicultural characters.
