Listen, this book is objectively so bad. Nothing makes sense and the characters are weird and the overall plot points seem to have no basis in reality, but even with all of that it is such an addicting and immersive read. I think a large reason why I say that is because I have read the whole series and am now reviewing book 1 as a re-read and with the full context I love these books and this series, but again, it is objectively bad. I would not recommend these books to anyone, and yet here I am rereading them. These characters and the found family will just always hold a special place in my heart in spite of the fact that none of the actual plot of the books make a single bit of sense.
Graphic: Homophobia, Sexual assault, Violence
