CW racist and misogynistic microaggressions 

This was a short, sweet and fast paced WLW black historical romance which was beautifully written. 

A jaded writer and a dressmaker who have both had their hearts broken at a time where queer love wasn't as readily accepted and the constraints of expectation where women were to be wed.
