I’m trying to get my thoughts to actually make sense 😂. I loved this book. June was such an unlikable character who could not take accountability for anything in her life. Everything was always someone else’s fault or an attack on her. Anytime someone called her out though it was always them bullying her. At the end of the day she was racist and the micro aggressions themselves are wild. Some of the dialogue did come off as cringe in my opinion. I also called who the person at the end was. I love Kuang’s writing and I think they do such a great job commenting on social issues. Back to this book, I legit could not put it down. It was so addictive and some of the arguments and shit June says is used for arguments that idiots like to start now. Anyway I’m into rambling territory, please just read RF Kuang.
