The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
3.0

Eli told Emma he thought she was going to be a Diva when she grew up. When I asked him what that meant, he said, 'You know mom, a sassy girl." Did I know that? It was a little alarming, but even more when he ran to get this book (with the motion picture cover) and showed me the cover. "Like this, mom!"

I pray not. I should be more selective about the books/covers I bring into the house. Eli picks everything up.

This book has been sitting on my shelf for quite some time. Once I picked it up, I became engrossed. I do not know much of Henry VIII's reign and so the story was not predictable, also it is fictional in it's historical account--from what I gather. There is an awful lot of slanderous and vile behavior in the book, and as much as I want to really love Mary Boleyn, she is quite flawed.
