The Blood of Olympus
by Rick Riordan
I still gave 5 stars even though I didn't entirely like how it was wrapped up. I missed Percy's and Annabeth's point of views. Even Franks's and Hazel's. But hey, I got Nico's and Reyna's.
I loved how the book started and Jason got impaled by a sword. Like this boy has the worst luck but hey, look on the bright side he didn't get knocked out almost every time like in Mark of Athena. I am so proud of him. And the fact that somewhere in the middle or closer to the end Jason got glasses. As someone who has a bad eyesight, it made me happy that he as a hero ended up having eye problems. It was so realistic and I just love those characters that have poor eyesights.
Nico's povs had to be one of my favourite ones in the whole book. And usually they were Leo's or Percy's. I loved how his last point of view ended with him admitting to Percy that he used to have a crush on him, and how startled Percy was. Especially after he said that he wasn't his type and then Annabeth high fived him. Like I didn't know what to do in that scene so I cried/laughed through it. And then he just turned around and went back to Will Solace. Ain't that the best way how to reveal his real type? Although, I knew that there was going to be Nico/Will thingy due to spoilers on tumblr but I didn't really spoil anything except people shipping them.
I loved that Tyson appeared in couple of scenes. MY SON, I MISS HIM A LOT!
Coach Hedge, okay, I LOVE THIS SATYR SO MUCH!
I think, Rick should actually write Nico di Angelo trilogy or a whole series because come on, you all want it don't ya? I want it for sure. I hope he will appear more in Trials of Apollo, which I can't wait to start reading. I felt so sorry for Apollo in this book and I was waiting for them to reach the twins so I can die laughing because of Apollo like I did in Titan's Curse but I wasn't really able to.
PERCY JACKSON AND JASON GRACE BROMANCE OKAY! IT'S EVERYTHING TO ME!
I am so happy that I have finally finished these series, okay I mostly feel empty but that's good empty. Couple of years ago I wasn't very fond of The Lightning Thief but I am so so damn happy I picked it up again last year. THESE BOOKS HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE.
