Dear Vicky by Octavia Grant

They say love can make you do crazy things, but it’s not that hard a task when you’re already deranged.

Andrew Patterson is a dependent Mama’s boy. His tolerance for her overbearing largesse snaps, however, when he tells his mother he has met the woman of his dreams and her reaction isn’t what he’d hoped for. Not to mention, said woman has no idea how Andrew feels and for Vicky, this ignorance is bliss…until it isn’t.

There should be a picture of Andrew in the dictionary next to the words delusional and unhinged. Mask stalkers have nothing on him as he takes obsession to new levels and I loved every minute of his descent. But just when you think you’ve got the situation and Andrew all figured out, things take a turn that makes us realign our perception. Not going to say much more than that.

This was a great read, funny, fast-paced and sadly tragic. Watch your triggers because this is gory. At only 70 pages, it packs a punch from beginning to end. If you’re ready for a quick horror thriller, this bloodfest is for you.
