I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
I am not from Utah but always eager to learn new things so I was curious about this 100 first words book, I was looking forward to learning new things. However... I came out even more confused than ever. What the hell is DTR? What is MTC? What is MLM? What is Deseret? What is the meaning of 47 with a cart? What is Holy War? And so I could continue. A lot of these didn't feel like first words more like inside jokes if you are already a grown-up Utahn. What a disappointment. I asked my hubby and even he was confused and looking up things (not to much avail because even search engines didn't get what I meant, haha). 1 star for the illustration style. The illustrations didn't always help, but they were at least fun to look at.
