The Cove by Catherine Coulter

5.0

I think the best way for me to review this novel is to tell my story while reading it.

It was 11:30 at night and I was fully absorbed into the story. There is one point in the story that the main character, Sally, comes home and when she gets into her room she looks out the window into the rainy night. Lightning flashes lighting her dead father's face standing outside her window. At the exact moment the lightning hit in the story, there was a very loud BANG somewhere outside the apartment. The book flew out of my hands and across the room. It took me about fifteen minutes to get enough courage to get off my bed and leave the room. My uncle was still up and I guess I looked as if I had just seen a ghost because my uncle asked me what was wrong. I asked him if he heard the loud bang and he said, laughing slightly, that it was lightning that struck just over the apartment. I never realized that it was raining. I lost track of the time because the story was so intense.

The Cove is one of the best novels I have ever read and is perfect for someone who likes murder mysteries. This story was also perfect to start Catherine Coulter's FBI Thriller Series.
