The Girl from Tomorrow by Sahlil Ge
adventurous

fast-paced
3.5
Let me start off by saying that the main relationship in this story is kind of… 🤨🤨🤨. It‘s giving Mortal Instruments vibes (iykyk 🤭). Although it did get resolved towards the end, I still find it very odd for 3/4 of the book.
Relationship things aside, this book is actually very enjoyable. I expected a lot from the synopsis and readers‘ reviews, and my needs were met. It was fun and fast paced; perfect for readers who want to read something light. The world building was 👌🏻👌🏻 (though I‘d like to see more history).
I LOVE Sid‘s character, and I‘m glad he gets his own story in the sequel Under Your Spell (although I can‘t find that book anywhere because it‘s out of stock).
I also like Juno (MMC) who‘s handsome but ACTUALLY has a solid personality!! Lana on the other hand… meh I‘m fine with her but sometimes she‘s stupid.
Also, the big supposedly "big plot twist" didn‘t feel big to me. When I got to the part it got me thinking "Oh, so that‘s that."
In conclusion: It‘s a pretty good Indonesian fantasy book. I would recommend it to people, and I‘d love to read the sequel.
(OMG IT‘S MY VERY FIRST LONG REVIEW HERE!!!!!!!!)
