I listened to this for the #knitandlisten2019 read-along. This was my first George Eliot book, although I own a copy of Middlemarch. Since I listened to the audiobook, I didn’t absorb as much as I would have if I had read a print or e-book, so I’m not certain I would have felt the same, I might have liked it less, or more. It was also difficult to get a proper sense of the writing style, which is always a big factor in whether I like a book. But, overall, I did enjoy the story, the characters, the setting. Though it could have used a bit more murder. ;)
