A great book about the emotional, social, and economic challenges of generational disparities and gentrification as told through the residents of an apartment building in Harlem. A few of the stories didn't have very well established endings, a few others had characters that were unlikable, but all of them had hard-hitting moments of empathy borne from the struggle to survive.
