Turbulence
by David Szalay
It was very easy to enjoy this book: first off, I’m a sucker for different POV’s with characters that interrelate in some way or another. Plus, we got to travel to different countries with each chapter title being a « flight » from one place to the other (ie; DEL - COK). Although this book is very short (150 pages), it tackled different societal issues (racial profiling, biracial marriage, toxic masculinity, etc). The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because some lines didn’t make me feel too comfortable...I think the message the author is giving is denouncing the realities of these issues, but it is done way too shortly so some issues are just left announced and not solved...if that makes any sense.
