Beautifully Shattered by B. Livingstone

This was a great introductory book. I really liked getting to know the characters, the settings and the start of their story.

I enjoyed the realism of the struggles of the female main character, Riley. You could feel her pain, her struggle, and her strength. Learning about her past, you can understand what she had gone through and how she was coping. Reading about her struggles really humanized her and the reader could easily connect with her.

I feel that the story has a lot of potential. We learn about her previous pack life, are introduced to her men and we are given a new problem/goal. While this book was short, a decent amount was fit into the story. It is a slow burn and the story is fairly slow as well. A lot happens with introductions, learning a bit about the past, but not a lot happens really plot wise. There is an interesting turn of events at the end that show a lot of promise for book two. Looking forward to seeing where this series goes.
