I wasn't as blown away as I was the first time I read this, but it's still definitely a page turner. It knows exactly how to satisfy and keep you invested. I also think the use of shifting perspectives was brilliantly executed here. It's a great way to not only gradually reveal information, but also highlight just how many people were affected seemingly by this one act. And in fact, you start to realize that the scope is bigger than it seems, and that the first domino may have fallen long before the "beginning" of the story that's presented to us.

It's just completely riveting. It was really fun reading this with a book club and hearing people's reactions to every twist and turn.

This was a hell of a time. Fascinating, dark, twists and turns in every chapter, smart use of shifting perspectives, and didn't overstay its welcome. Just a really good thriller that punched me right in the gut and left me speechless. Love it.
