Very dramatic, with the all's well that ends well type of ending, but overall a nice story. it bored me in the first quarter (or half) and i couldn't get invested in the characters at all, but then the pace picked up and i found myself at the edge of my seat to find out who the hell was actually the murderer. the ending was a bit rushed and fairytalesque, but everything wrapped up to a nice conclusion, which i did somewhat enjoy. a solid read, definitely worth a try and i will probably pick up other books by the author and see if they suit me better. (also i definitely appreciate any queer book that does not base its entire plot on coming out and the trauma surrounding that, so this book is great for whoever wants to read a murder mystery with gay mcs)
