Not Seeking Mr. Right by Natasha Moore

4.0

Like enemies to friends, I enjoy reading second-chance romances, or spring-autumn romances. This one is a 40 year old who has a fling with a 24 year old because she likes his butt. No really. She sees his butt when he is getting dressed in the parking lot, and is curious to see who it is attached to.

And of course she gets pregnant.

And the conflict is that this is a small town, and the young man, Josh, just graduated and wants to move on out into the big bad world. So Gin does what she thinks is best and lets him know about the pregnancy, but makes it quite clear she does not need him to stick around.

He is, of course, with all romances, the perfect guy, which makes it harder and harder to push him away.

Are ron-coms realistic? Who knows, and really should we care? The genre of romance does not have bad lovers, because that would be against everything that they have established. So we all know she and he are right for each other, even if they don't.
