haleypetcher 's review for:
Nine Perfect Strangers
by Liane Moriarty
This book was a wild ride. Honestly, it got weirder than I expected. I like weird, though, so it held my attention. I tore through it.
As other reviewers have said, there are a lot of characters, and the novel switches POV amongst them. It was a bit difficult for me to keep the male characters separate at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. Personally, I love novels that switch perspectives, so that was fun for me. Overall, I loved the characters. Some characters--Instagram Jessica and Health Resort Director Masha, who falls into some Russian tropes that I highly question--weren't represented 100% fairly, but most were. All of the characters have some depth. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and their struggles.
I think this book as gotten a lot of mixed reviews, which I understand. I don't think it's for everyone. I thought it was fun though! I'm definitely going to keep reading Moriarty's books.
