This book was absolutely thrilling. I lost count of how many chapters actually had me shaking. There were moments that made me set the book down and pace around trying to wrack my brain on how in the world these characters will be able to make it out alive in the end.

I was blown away by the little details of the world. The federation soldiers having boots with round toes while Mara soldiers have pointed ones is such a small, seemingly insignificant detail, but it is one of many that added up to create such a vivid picture of these characters and the world around them. 

I could gush about this book all day and I am waiting on pins and needles for my copy of book 2 to come in.
