Despite Christmas
I ended up liking this series much more than I thought I would. Despite its Christmas setting, the characters feel real because of the struggles (not involving Christmas) that they go through. Dash's journey in this last one is particularly important. You don't usually find such well-described panic attacks in fiction.
I hope there is a fourth book.
