This was a good story, even better for readers who’ve been to Paris as the travel through the city was very accurate and reminded me of my honeymoon. That being said, I may be slightly biased because I did love that city so much.
I liked that the hero in this book wasn’t flawlessly perfect, he was a bit short and kinda unkept. I’m a little sick of the perfect hero in most romances today. I also liked that he was sweet, this is a change for this author as she usually writes complete assholes (though perhaps it isn’t a change as this is her first contemporary romance so I guess she has evolved into the hero being an asshole with infantile emotional maturity).
The heroine was a bit annoying and controlling and very shallow but she did improve throughout the story so there was character growth.
Reading other reviews of this book I expected it to be hotter as everyone says this is a racy book. I guess that depends on the reader as I found the sex scenes steamy but not shocking or racy. Tying someone up just isn’t the taboo thing it used to be. It’s actually almost vanilla now, or maybe it just is to me
